To make a printable timesheet, pick a weekly or biweekly layout, optionally enter the employee name and first day so dates fill in, then print or save it as a PDF. Each sheet has columns for clock in, clock out and breaks (or lunch punches), daily and weekly totals, and signature lines.

Fill in the boxes you want pre-printed, or leave them blank for a reusable master copy. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

Weekly timesheet (PDF)7 days · in / out / break Weekly with lunch (PDF)7 days · in / lunch out / lunch in / out Biweekly timesheet (PDF)14 days · two weekly subtotals

How do I make and print a timesheet?

  1. Choose a layout: weekly for one workweek, or biweekly for a two-week pay period with a subtotal per week.
  2. Add lunch columns if needed. Tick the box for four punches a day: in, lunch out, lunch in and out.
  3. Pre-fill the header with the employee, company and first day. Dates for every row fill in automatically.
  4. Print it, or save it as a PDF from the print dialog. Only the timesheet prints, not the rest of the page.

A paper timesheet is still the simplest way for small teams, job sites and household employers to track hours. These sheets are made for black-and-white printing on US Letter or A4. They have large writing boxes, a day and date column, weekly total rows, regular and overtime hour lines, and signature lines for the employee and supervisor.

What records does federal law require?

The FLSA does not require a particular form or time clock, but employers must keep accurate records for each non-exempt worker (29 CFR 516.2), including:

Time cards must be kept for 2 years and payroll records for 3. A signed paper timesheet with daily hours and a weekly total covers the hours part.

How do I fill in a timesheet correctly?

Prefer to type the times? The timesheet calculator with lunch and the main time card calculator add up hours and pay automatically and can also print.
